Well, it’s currently about 92° with 60% humidity here in Puerto Vallarta, so it feels about 102°. It’s hottttt, my friend!
And in this heat, I’ve really been leaning into moving more slowly, particularly after 12pm.
I also had access to the Davannayoga shala for one more week, which means I had access to props! So this week’s practice is a restorative one!
This is the first time I’ve filmed a restorative class, so please let me know how you like it!
My invitation to you with this practice is to find a place of surrender. I feel this is the ultimate theme for a restorative class.
As you come into each pose, take a gentle scan of your body and notice if you’re holding anywhere.
And if so, see if you can use a breath to release. To surrender to the pose. Surrender to the props holding you up. Surrender to the present moment.
You’ll have a few options for props for this practice, depending on what you have available:
- One bolster and one block
- Two blankets/towels and two blocks
- Two bolsters
I’ll meet you on the mat!
