full moon

The full moon is upon us, which means it’s time to check in with our new moon intentions!

We have been in the waxing moon phase for the past couple of weeks, since the new moon. So the moon has been brightening from our perspective, as its angle relative to the sun and the earth has been increasing.

You might have noticed a crescent moon that appears larger as the nights go by. During this time, your projects and intentions set during the new moon should have begun to gain some momentum.

These past two weeks were the time for you to put those intentions and desires into motion. Using the time to research, add, and re-adjust to take things a step further.

To read more about the phases of the moon and how we can align with them, check out the post with the new moon yoga practice. This post is specifically about the full moon phase.

The Full Moon

The full moon is often a time of increased emotions, more intense feelings, and erratic thoughts. However, we can learn to harness the power of the full moon in our favor, rather than fall prey to its whims.

This is a powerful time to release negative habits and limiting beliefs.

Energy has been building during the waxing moon phase, and the full moon is the time to release that energy. To unburden yourself, and to take action on the intentions you set at the new moon. To expand into your potential.

This is a good time to take stock. To evaluate the state of your intentions or projects.

What has gone as planned and what hasn’t?

What do you need to bring forth or call upon in order to see your intentions manifest over the course of the next two weeks?

What actions do you need to take?

What habits do you need to cultivate?

What do you need to invite in?

And in order to invite these things in, know that you must make space. You must let go.

What obstacles have arisen in your endeavors?

What is currently standing in your way?

Are there any habits or limiting beliefs that you can release in order to make space for what you need?

What can you release, and what will you expand into?

With these things in mind, unroll your mat and join me for this full moon vinyasa flow!
