In addition to bringing you a 10 minute morning yoga practice today, I’m also going to catch you up on what’s been going on with me, as I realized it’s been a while since I did so!
If we’re connected on Instagram (@_roamingyogi), then you might be aware of my recent travels (I’ve been sharing a lot in my stories), but if we’re not – I’ve been moving around quite a bit recently!
My fiancé and I moved out of our home in Puerto Vallarta at the end of March, which was a highly emotional process.
I spent the two weeks before we left oscillating between extreme excitement and bursting into tears from sadness and stress. I relied heavily on my yoga, meditation and journaling practices during those couple weeks…lots of grounding.
I spent about two and a half weeks at home in New York City, which was equal parts overwhelmingly wonderful and just overwhelming.
There was lots of running around, making sure to get in quality time with family and friends, while also keeping up with my work, and taking time to tend to my own self-care. My daily practice looked like a lot of sitting in stillness and quiet…the intense energy of NYC really made me crave that.
Now I’m in Barcelona, Spain, where I’ve been for the past three weeks. My fiancé and I are dead set on getting married here in Spain, so we dedicated a month to scouting out wedding venues.
We’ve been running around the Spanish countryside, trying to find the perfect venue, and I think we’ve found the place! Fingers crossed we can get it all booked and settled before we leave Barcelona next week.
Yes, we’re moving again! If you were wondering where the name Roaming Yogi came from…this is it!
Next week, we’ll head to the Douro Valley in Portugal for a few days of rest and relaxation, and then we’ll be living and working in Lisbon for a month.
If you have any Lisbon recommendations, leave them in the comments!

10 Minute Morning Yoga
So for the entire month of May, I’m bringing you 10-minute morning yoga practices. You’ll notice that these practices were filmed in a familiar setting – our apartment in Puerto Vallarta.
I knew we would be moving around a lot and I wasn’t sure if I would have a space suitable for filming, so I prepared these videos before we left.
That’s also why these practices are just 10 minutes. Full transparency – I had a lot going on before leaving PV and in order to fit it all in, I had to film shorter practices for you.
Plus, you know how much I love a morning practice, and most of the time, a shorter practice is the only way to make it happen in the morning!
So for this week’s morning practice, I invite you to set the intention of going with the flow of your day.
No matter what the day throws at you – whether it goes as planned or everything goes haywire – allow yourself to flow with it.
Because life is so much easier when we cease resistance and let it flow to us. Working with this theme has been massively helpful for me over the past month, and I hope it resonates with you too.
I’ll meet you on the mat!
